Stunning etching, large with great color and mood. Venice Italy lovers, this may be the perfect rememberance. The gas lantern street lights are very eye catching and draw the viewer in to the romance of the approaching evening. The details of the sail boats and ships are reflected in the canal and the architecture of the buildings is portrayed in a hazy romanticized way. Italian nocturne. This Artist Proof ( A/P ) is signed by the artist Peter Dunn. This intaglio etching is ambitious in it's technique which includes aquatint and A La Poupee in a rainbow application of ink to the plate. (I believe to be these printing techniques as described based on similarity to other prints I've owned and to having some print making knowledge - but I did not acquire this from the artist directly, nor is there a specific indication of such techniques on the actual piece, so can't be entirely sure.) This has been behind glass and has been removed for the ability to ship. There are some indications of age lines where the mat edge sat, and some rippling of the paper as can be the case with the heavy rag fiber papers used in print making. The paper is very heavy and the last picture shows it's embossing mark. Print 17.5" x 10.5", paper is apprx. 22" x 15" I have changed the shipping to USPS tube shipping (rolled up) to optimize shipping cost. You
