Art Deco 10K GOLD European Cut DIAMOND ONYX Stick PIN
This auction is for a Vintage ART DECO Stickpin that is made from 10K Solid GOLD and it is Highlighted with Black ONYX and in the center is an Old European Cut Genuine DIAMOND! This item was recently purchased from an estate. The top of this pin measures about 3/8" in diameter. from the top of the pin to the point on the bottom , it measures about 2 1/2" Long. The diamond (tested), measures about 2.4mm in diameter...making it approximately a 0.05 carat diamond. This is an old European cut Diamond (t is a flat on the culet) Though I am not a gemologist, if I were to grade this stone, I would say that it is about SI Clarity and about G-H Color. It is a Bright, white and sparkly diamond...Eye Clean. The gold is not marked that I can find, but it has been carefully TESTED and it tests to be 10K Solid GOLD. This pin weighs about 1.0 grams (without the clutch on the bottom that is not gold) This item is in decent vintage condition, with slight signs of age/wear Please see images to get a closer look at this items condition. The onyx shows some small dings (the largest being at about the 7 o'clock position on the upper edge of the onyx just below the diamond...see images The diamond is in good shape, with no dings/chips etc. that I can locate. The gold is also in good vintage condition, with no large dings/dents etc. that I can find. T are some small surface scratches etc. on the gold as you expect to find on vintage gold jewelry items. t is a bit of solder visible on the filigree chain section of the gold at about the 1 o'clock position -see images All in all, I would have to say that this item is in good vintage condition, with slight signs of age/wear.
