Stunning Art Deco Rookwood pottery divided dresser box with sleeping nude lady on lid. Made by Rookwood Pottery Company, Cincinnati, Ohio. Circa 1931. It is truly exquisite! The color is cream or ivory on the exterior, and two-tone glossy green on the interior. The finish is smooth satin, and the rounded shape is very unique with beveled or indented corners. It has the Rookwood mark on the bottom with the numbers XXXI and 2915 (see picture). The overall measurement is 4" tall, 3-3/4" long, and 2-5/8" wide. The condition is excellent except for a large chip and a small nick on the base - both on the inside which cannot be seen with lid on (see picture). It still has a wonderful look, and the chip can be repaired. The lid is in perfect condition - no chips, breaks, or repairs. Our reserve is only $49.00 for this lovely work of art. This stunning deco box came from an estate in San Francisco, and is vintage. It has a great deco look - very beautiful and unique. A rare and wonderful find. Pictures don't do it justice. It is truly quality deco piece, and would make a wonderful addition to someone's collection. Buyer pays shipping and insurance. Paypal, money orders, and checks are acceptable. Checks must clear before shipment. Thank you for bidding.
