The powder puff design on the " Air-Spun " compact we have listed is believed to have been the work of René Lalique . I have seen photographs of other compacts with this design that also have the Lalique imprint on them.

The cover design is in excellent condition, with no peeling or splitting. Its condition is immaculate. The powder puffs within the design have little black handles attached to a gilded base, which holds the white power puffs. The background is an orangey-peach color, with a golden wash over it. A timeless design.

The compact's metal case shows some age-patina, with just a smidgen of rubbing. The bottom of the compact is marked "Pressed AirSpun Powder, L'Origan Rachel Nacre." In the center is a small rectangle that reads "COTY New York."

The clasp and hinge work perfectly.

Inside the mirror is in wonderful condition. The powder puff has seen better days, and the powder has been used.
