Welcome to my auction. I also have other items listed, take a look. I will gladly combine to save you on shipping. I only charge exact shipping. So if you purchase more than one item, wait to pay until I send you a combined invoice. The shipping price is decided by the weight of the items. Now here is a real treasure. This is a vintage sewing machine called Apartment Electric. This is a smaller machine and that I why I am thinking they called it Apartment. I have tried to do research on this and really can't find much information about this machine. I think it was made by the Free Sewing Machine Co. I have looked everywhere on the machine, in the instructions and can't find a makers name. Free joined with Westinghouse to make the motors and were sold as Free-Westinghouse. They made many branded machines including Apartments. The factory was in Rockford, Il. The company closed shop sometime in the 1950's. This is one of the more beautiful machines that I have ever seen. The decals are art deco and are in excellent condition. The coloring is nice and bright and I really don't see any wear. The machine is heavy and made to last and comes in a beautiful rounded top wood case which is also in excellent condition. I plugged it in and it works great. The motor is nice and quiet.
