Art-deco art-nouveau chrome table (side table)
I hate to let this (or my other deco pieces) go, but my new apt. is too small to house them. This is a stunning, sophisticated custom-made table that is perfect for displaying a treasured statue or art-object. It is black with chrome (I think itÂ's chrome) details. The details include chrome ball feet, ornate chrome edging, ornate chrome corner details, and a unicorn in the center. The piece feels nice and light and airy because the chrome details are attached to a punched metal front and sides that let you see through it, plus it has feet that make it sit a little off the ground. I believe this was originally a radiator grill cover for the New York City apartment of a wealthy couple. I bought it at the annual antique fair at the Piers in NYC about 15 years ago. Top dealers from all over the country attend this show. The table is 9Â" deep, 16 1/2 Â' wide and 33 ½ inches tall. However, it has a piece of black reflective glass that sits on top to highlight your objects. The top brings the measurements to 9 ¾Â" X 18Â". This is a neat custom piece, that was clearly and tastefully built in the art-deco art-nouveau era. This is sold Â'as isÂ'. If you want it to be in pristine condition, a little touch-up is needed. Personally, I like the fact that it does not look brand new. IMPORTANT: One photo shows it with a statue on top. That is not part of this. It is not included in the bidding. I just included the photo, so you could see what the table looks like when displaying an object. If you are interested in the statue shown, it is being auctioned on ebay by me elsew Search for me or "art deco statue" and you'll find it.) Thie table is in New York City and can be picked up. I can also ship it, but my guess is that it will cost a pretty penny to do so. If you want it shipped, I will bring it to UPS and you will pay whatever they charge to pack and ship. I wonÂ't add anything to it. I am not estimating a price to ship because I frankly don't know. Thank you.
