Offered for your consideration is a rare 2 bulb bat wing flush mount ceiling light that was made in the 1930`s. This fixture has been restored by a qualified lampsmith trained specifically in antique and vintage lighting, nothing has been refurbished, t were no shortcuts taken, this is truly a complete, quality restoration. The restoration process began with disassembly, all of the old paint and corrosion were removed by bead blasting, this eliminates any chance of corrosion bleeding through at a later, a common problem on fixtures that haven`t been properly prepared, i.e. paint remover and a wire brush or steel wool. It was then prepped and sealed with a corrosion inhibiting primer and refinished in antique gold and dark gold. It measures 16 inches from the tip of one shade to the other, 7 1/2 inches wide and the drop is 7 inches measured from flush with the ceiling. The shades are in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs, just the normal wear you would expect to find around the fitter area. Re-using 75 year old sockets is a potential safety hazard so the original porcelain sockets and cloth wiring have been replaced with new UL approved sockets and wiring. The restoration was completed using all new hardware inclucing a new grounded crossbar and mounting screws so its ready for immediate installation by your electrician. Thanks for looking and good luck! Anyone can claim that their fixture has been restored, when you buy from us you know exactly what you are getting, a fixture that has been restored to new condition by a lampsmith using all new parts from a lamp supply company. Please check my feedback and read the reviews of my customers after recieving their fixture(s). Buyer to pay shipping and insurance which will be determined at the auctions end. All fixtures ship in a new box via USPS protected by plenty of bubblewrap. The first 3 photos are from a previous listing and show the wrong shades, the 4 photos that have been added show the correct shades, 2 tone with a satin finish. I apologize for the mistake and fully understand if anyone wishes to cancel their bid.
