Art Deco Chryselephantine Bronze Figurine - Peter Tereszcuk Description A beautiful art deco Austria Vienna bronze figurine depicting a young girl sitting on a chair, c1910/20. Take a look at the pictures, these will tell much more than my description. This nice collectable bronze figurine is signed by Peter Tereszczuk (Ukrainian-Austrian, 1875-1963) and “Tereszcuk-Ullmann Vienna” foundry stamp and is about 8 ½” (22cm) tall. Splendid deep brown patina and very well cast. Absolute in the condition as depicted, no repairs. An absolute must for your Chryselephantine collection. You will find many descriptions from the sculptor on the Internet. Tereszcuk-Ullmann Vienna Foundry A small foundry set up by the sculptors Peter Tereszcuk and Th Ullmann. Although this foundry, set up c 1915, was designed to cast the works of the founder-sculptors under their personal supervision, they also cast bronzes by other sculptors, including J Ulrich. Many of the items cast were small, functional but decorative bell-pushes, door-knockers, hand-bells, trays, ashtrays, desk accessories or door furniture. Important information to bidders! I have received more than one e-mail from eBay winners stating that the items which they have purchased from my auctions are much more beautiful in real life than depicted in the pictures.
