This figurine depicts a nude woman draped with a full length cloak-like cloth. During the Art Deco Era, La Societe Anonime Edmond Etling with shop in Paris, France, commissioned art works from various artists. The base is marked Etling France. The artist was Lucille Sevin. The number that follows (50) is related to the Choisy-le-Roi glassworks catalogue. The figurine may represent Isadora Duncan. This figurine is described in the book Opalescence Le Verre Moule des Annes 1920-1930 in Fig. 55 A: Femme nue au bras tendu - 1933- h:205 mm - n. 50 Translated: Naked woman with stretched arm. This figurine stands about 8 1/4" tall and the base is is about 2 1/2" in diameter, and is about 1 9/16" at its thickest part and from elbow to tip of cloth about 4 7/16". It was produced in 1933. A figurine just like this one sold at Christies on May 2000 for $3,194.
