Stunning and desirable Art Deco Franciscan "Apple" pattern 19" turkey platter. It has the old black California mark. And, it was made by the Gladding McBean & Company in California. It is exquisite! The colors are brilliant - maroon red, green, brown, on ivory. The overall measurement is 19" long and 13" wide. It is signed "Franciscan Hand Decorated, OvenSafe, Gladding McBean & Co., Made in California U.S.A." in black on the bottom (see picture). The estimated value is $325.00 according to the "Schroeder's Antiques Price Guide", dated 2005, on page #209. Our reserve is only $100.00. The condition is excellent except for two scratches - one on the edge and one very light one in center (hardly noticable). Other than that, it is perfect. T are no chips, breaks, cracks, or repairs. This fabulous turkey platter came from an estate in San Francisco, and is vintage. It has a great look - very elegant and unique. Pictures don't do it justice. It is truly a quality piece, and would make a wonderful addition to someone's collection. Buyer pays shipping and insurance. Paypal, money orders, and checks are acceptable.
