Stunning Art Deco French lady w streamlined hair bronzed metal statue on marble base. Made in France, and signed by artist, "Monjoli" (see picture). Circa 1930's. She is truly exquisite! The deco lady is dressed in a Roman type gown with one shoulder bared, she is running with one leg in front and other in back, and her hair is blowing in the wind. She was holding something in her hands, probably a spear or bow, but it is missing. Someone can make something and put it in her hand with no problem. There are holes in her hands to hold something. The deco lady is made of some kind of metal with a beautiful bronze finish, and the geometric base is made of inlaid pieces of marble stone - black, rose, white, cream, light green, and brown. She is quite heavy, and the detail is excellent. The overall measurement is 11-3/4" tall, 9-1/2" long, and 3-1/4" wide, The statue is signed by the artist "Monjoli" on the top of the base (see picture). The condition is amazingly very good - shows wear, lots of tarnish or patina, and a lot of chips on the marble from years of use, but there are no major breaks, cracks, or repairs. She looks stunning! The estimated value was $395.00 according to the estate. Our reserve is only $125.00. This fabulous deco lady came from an estate in San Francisco, and is vintage. She has a great deco look - very modernistic and unique. A rare and wonderful find. Pictures don't do her justice. She is truly a quality deco piece, and would make a wonderful addition to someone's collection. Buyer pays shipping. Thank you for bidding.
