This kind of classic tea set is a very special design . It looks quite plain on first sight but has some very interesting design details.All are pedestal and the handles and the lips have extra design cuts at the edges. Pins through the wood finials.No splits on the wood--I think it is wood - .The BALANCE of each piece is very well thought out. Fine - 4 pc teaset with no dents -no monogram. No 13459 model and a 28 on the bottom Stamped with 835 . Has the hallmarks for -----The firm of Bruckmann, located in Heilbronn, with distributors in all of the major cities, had a long history of providing the finest level of quality and workmanship of any of the other German silver manufacturers.The finials are wood I believe.The lids are hinged . Extra large sugar bowl with two handles 6"-weighs apprx 15 oz . Elegant Coffee pot 9 1/2" tall with finial weighs apprx 1 lb 12 oz , Easy to Pour Teapot 7 1/2" 1 lb 8 oz, Creamer 3 5/8" tall weighs about 8 oz.The handles work very well . Not too skimpy ! VERY SUBSTANTIAL GERMAN SET .I weighed on the post office scale ---almost 5 lbs ! ............ I am not sure of the age but I would say early 1900s .Came out of a Luxembourg apartment and I am selling from the States for my client who had all contents boxed and sent over to her -her aunt's home .
