This is a beautiful, full of grace porcelain figurine of a young , slim, blond , blue eyed woman. The woman to fall in love with... :}Attributed to the modeler Kurt Steiner and signed on the base it was manufactured in Germany, most probably during the late 1930's by SchauBach Kunst .The girl in gym wear is holding a ball in one hand and stretching the other .The hair stile and make up are typical for the period of 1930/1940’s.. The decoration is a finish of white glazed clothing with slight tint of green at some places and flesh colored biscuit limbs. The base is decorated with a gold line trim. White flower drawing at her feet.. Model number 1285/1 . Rare… Such figurines were manufactured for several years before the second world war and periodically during the war .Later similar models ,manufactured during 50’s were modified to look “politically correct” ,with left arm not stretched out so “provocatively” as on the photo , probably to avoid association with famous nazi salute…The coloring of the later models and details became inferior to the original model 1285/1. Measures: about 24 CM in high, The base : about 8 CM wide. The space between stretched arms : about 19 CM. Condition : Fine, no visual damages or restorations of any sort .
