This beautifully made clock has a bevelled glass case supported on the back of a fully hand carved lion. It is walnut with matched burl and the original finish is in excellent condition with slight wear and a warm golden patina. The clock is in good running order with the original brass pendulum and weights. It chimes the hour and the half hour and the dial has slight discoloration - see photo. There is slight wear and small shrinkage cracks as would be expected in an original piece like this dating from the 1920's. The case has beautiful warm color and is very solid and sturdy. The clock is wound by a chain on each weight, and is an eight day movement. The chime is signed "Echo Gong" in back. The case is quite elegant and evey pane of glass is bevelled. It is 21" by 21" and is 80" tall.
