1947 Northern Electric Uniphone #2 Wall Set Made in Canada, the Uniphone desk set #1 was N.E.'s version of the Western Electric 302 desk set, this is the wall version of that set, a Uniphone #2, They all are pretty much identical inside, having the same ringer, coil, & capacitor. Unlike the 302, which early on stuck with their #5 dial, the Uniphones were equiped with one of 3 dials: a W.E. #5, a Automatic Electric type 24 or one of these, a Siemans British Post Office dial or a BPO These art deco sets are pretty hard to come by in this condition, This is the only one on ebay right now. Original BPO Dial W/Chrome fingerwheel & porcelain number plate. Above that it says: Northern Electric~Made in Canada. Rings, Dials, Works Great. New black cloth handset cord & extra long vinyl line cord with modern modular plug. The bakelite housing is attatched to the base plate by a sturdy hinge, making it easy to hang & very convinient to access while still hanging on a wall. All original, all dates match to 1947. All 4 rubber feet have holes that go through for the mounting screws. The Northern Electric F1 handset has Excellent sound quality. Telephone will be packed very securely with foam peanuts and bubble wrap.
