You are bidding on a very hard to find great huge pair of MURANO Italian art glass Egg lamps. Just perfect for your Eames era, Mid Century Modern, Pantone, Gambone, Retro 1970's or even Danish Modern home. These are getting harder and harder find and it is unusual and rare to acquire a pair. I have only seen a similar Murano Egg lamp on ebay twice before that is only the base lamp without the additional bulb on top. What's so cool about these lamps is that you can have them lit normally just from the top bulbs, or just lit from the Egg portion of the lamp, or have them light up with the top bulbs and the bottom bulbs at the same time. When the bottom portion of the Egg is illuminated t are amazing swirls of a creamy white mixed the the clear glass. They look astonishing even when they are not lit. This is a very striking pair of for display. The lamps from the base to the top of the finial stand a very impressive 31 inches tall. The egg portion alone is 16 inches tall by 12 1/2 inches across at the widest. They also come with the original harps and very cool squared clear lucite finials. The bases are also a clear lucite, plexiglass or very hard plastic that match the finials. Both lamps have a sticker on the glass that Reads VETRI MURANO. Both lamps are in great working condition with no damage to the glass or lucite. One of the small bulbs on the inside of the glass egg needs to be replaced for it is burnt out. Also the switch on the cords for the inner bulb don't match. I assume one was changed at some point. Any white spots are from camera glare only. If you have any other questions please inquire.
