Wow - Sweet! Up for auction is this wonderful percolator electric coffee pot, manufactured by Manning-Bowman Co. The serial, I believe, is the date of manufacture 2-47 - but I can't be for sure. The 1937 Manning-Bowman catalog notes that "...the spherical design of the 'Harmony' sets it apart as the smartest coffee service..."This girl is in near new condition! The chrome just shines mirror smooth - nobody has ever used an abrasive anything cleaning the outside - I've seen brand new items in the store showing more wear than this has. I'd say she's been used a bit in her early life, then retired to display. This came in to a local shop as part of a collection of coffee makers - all beautiful and complete - this is one eye catcher for sure!!!The insides show little use - nice an clean. The electrical cord is a vintage Sunbeam Belden, fits good, and is nice soft rubber.The only real flaw is one small scratch on the front, just to the right of the spigot - about and inch long surface rub - not very noticeable at all, but thought I'd better mention it. The plastic base and handles are really nice.
