ART DECO - PIRATES WITH IVORY FACES BOOKENDS If you are a serious collector of Art Deco figures and bookends, then you will recognize these bookends as identified on page 102 of Bookend Revue (Schiffer Book for Collectors). These bookends are in wonderful condition, showing very minimal wear to the polychrome cold painted figures, though one of the ivory or ivorine knee inserts is missing, and the boots on one is darker than the other. These are original, as found, and t has been no repair or overpainting (which lowers the value of these antiques collectibles). Each has retained original ivory or ivorine face, and one has retained an ivory 'knee'insert. The bases are marble or slate. Size of each bookend: 8.25" high, base 4" by 3 1/2". Please see my other listings for a matching Art Deco alabaster lamp with this same figure of a 'soldier with Sabre'. Finding matching pieces is very rare, and multiplies the value of each collectible piece. Check out my other items ! Thanks for looking! Have Questions? Email Me!
