For sale is a rectangular Art Deco bronze medal - 1 7/8 by 3 1/4 inches. It shows three springboks (or possibly elands) racing to the right, the horned stag to the front toward the observer. In the far upper left corner is, "RF" (intertwined) and "ThenoT" (Maurice Thenot worked in Paris in the inter-war period - 1920-1940). The reverse is blank. On the bottom rim is punched, "Metal F" (which I would assume is art bronze because the medal IS bronze). In front of this is a symbol that I cannot discern. This is a particularly lovely period Art Deco bronze medal. NOTE: In a different auction I am listing the mate to this medal (two ibexes). Condition: Excellent, but with one very small nick on the stag's upper shoulder (you have to look for it). The oval disturbance on the back was probably from a price tag which was left on too long. It was like this when I acquired it 30 years ago. We ship only within the United States and to Canada and to Europe. Payment will be by Paypal, post office or bank money order, or personal check (which will require a seven day waiting period for check to clear before shipping). T is NO handling charge. Item will be shipped by U. S. P. S. First Class ($3.00 which includes packaging and postage). Priority mail is available. Insurance is additional and optional. No sale is final until the buyer is happy with the purchase. The buyer has five days after receiving the item to email us of their intent to return it (for any reason). The buyer is responsible for all postage costs. Upon our receiving the item (in the same condition as sent), we will send the full purchase price refund in the form of a bank money order.
