ONE STAG IN PINK AND ONE LEAPING DEER IN WHITE. CALIFORNIA POTTERY. GORGEOUS, ART DECO, EAMES ERA, CHINA STYLIZED STAG AND DEER. THEY SURE ARE BEAUTIFUL. I BELIEVE THEM TO BE 'ROSELANE' THE MAKER, AND MANUFACTURED DURING MID CENTURY TIMES. I CANNOT FIND OTHERS ON EBAY. THESE WERE PART OF A SPECIAL COLLECTION. THE LADY HAD NEVER SEEN A 'STAG' IN THIS TYPE OF STYLIZED POTTERY, AND THIS WAS HER ONLY ONE. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ONE EITHER. COLORS ARE SOFT, SILKY AND WONDERFUL. I BELIEVE THESE ARE ATTRIBUTED TO CALIFORNIA POTTERY MAKERS. MEASUREMENTS: PINK STAG: LARGE 10-1/4 INCHES HIGH. WHITE LEAPING DEER 6" HIGH BY -1/4 WIDE. Note:.......I consider these two to be in mint condition, even though t is the tiniest of manufacturing flaw on the base, the very underneath of the stag. It appears that a little bit of the pottery, when soft, made a teeny dent in the clay, about the size of a grain of rice. It is in the base, w t is no color. Some may consider this a chip, but it has a little 'scoop' shape. I am going to all this trouble because a customer gave me a neutral feedback, instead of contacting me, regarding what she said was a chip, when it was just a manufacturing flaw.
