This is a wonderful item!! A sterling cigarette case hallmarked with - Elgin AM. Mfg. Co.- Sterling Silver - Made in U.S.A. on the clip inside the case. On the inside of the front cover it reads "Sterling - # 1589241" and just the numbers again on the inside of the back cover. This measures 3 3/4"L x 3"w x 3/8"d and weighs 93.9grs. The front cover is exquisitely detailed in an alternating design of wide and narrow stripes. The wide stripes have an extra detail of diamond designs engraved over the stripes. Around the outside edge on both covers, you will see wonderful hand engraving, in a scroll design. On the front of the cover is a monogram it reads - C.E.M. - The back cover is smooth. The hinge and snap closure are in perfect working order, as is the rest of the case. No dings,or dents, some minor scratching, but buffing will eliminate this if you choose to. What a handsome case to hold your cigarettes.
