At auction is this Art Deco Greyhound Ashtrey circa 1930's. I bought this from an antique dealer in Connecticut in 1996 and he assured me the metal ashtray under the greyhound was original. This ashtray has never had a cigarette put out in it since I've owned it. It does have some minor rust and the base has a bit more rust.I don't want to do any damage to the metal so I'll leave the rust removal to the buyer. This ashtray stands approximately 28 inches high. With a little work it will be a beautiful piece. I do not believe it has been painted. I believe it is in its original condition. Feel free to e-mail any questions to me. Thanks for looking I wasn't going to mention this and didn't in the original description, but now feel I should. This ashtray seems to have a strange peculiarity to it. I'm not saying it's haunted. No Stephen King strange noises and ghosts and bloody walls. It just seems to have a problem having its picture taken. I've had major problems with two different cameras.
