Art Deco Vanity Set Black Bakelite

Beautifully detailed 5-piece vanity set -- hand mirror, brush, comb, shoe horn, and trinket box -- has decoration of a woman with a Grecian hairstyle cavorting with 3 graceful dogs. The design is carved into the bakelite, and highlighted with white. Size of the pieces: hand mirror measures 14.5 inches long; brush is about 8.5 inches long; shoe horn is 6.75 inches long; comb measures 7.5 inches long; box is 4.75 inches long, 3.75 inches wide, and 2 inches tall. Both the mirror and the brush are marked in script on the handle 'pereline'. The box lid has celluloid inserts underneath to hold it in place. Set was loved, and used, by the original owner and has some scuffs and slight scraches in the shiny surface. White decoration highlight has worn off the shoe horn and the mirror handle; other pieces also show a bit of wear to the white. But the design is still beautiful; pieces have no damage, mirror is unclouded. A gloriously Deco set!
