Art Deco Waterfall Mahogany Lane Cedar Chest 1941 Fresh from a local estate, this 1941 Lane Cedar Chest is in fantastic shape for its age. The chest still retains its original Moth Insurance Policy Card on the interior and the finish is in great shape, with only a slight hint of a shadow of a doily/cloth that covered the chest at one time. The chest still retains that strong cedar smell and the interior felt is in great shape as well, with stains or tears. T are few minor chips to the mahogany veneer on the very bottom of the front of the chest - which are only noticeable by looking up close and from the bottom. I mention this very minor defect as the chest would be perfect. In short - you will be hard pressed to find a cedar chest in better shape than this one. Chest measures 47 1/2" at its longest, 18 3/4" at its deepest and 22 1/2" tall. We are also willing to deliver this chest within 100 miles of Providence for a reasonable fee, and as always, local pickup is also available. Would look great in any home. As a precaution the lock will be removed as it is not child safe, but will be included. It is recommended that a new safety lock be installed as a precaution. T is no reserve on this item!! My Policies: Insurance is optional, but always recommended.Tax is not required unless you live in RI.Another auction from Fruit Hill Antiques. read more
