This is the 1866 Day and Son edition. It features a chromolithographed title, and 96 pages of text followed by 95 color plates of beautiful illumination examples. Ex-library, with a sticker, bookplate and several stamps to that effect. Spine has been taped over, and the joints have also been inexpertly reinforced with tape. The corners are bumped and the cloth has worn through there. Back cover has two small white spots, and there's foxing on the title page and a few others. The edges of most pages are a bit ragged and worn. The edges of plates 13-20 are water-stained. Not a perfect copy by any means, but it still has much to offer.
