This is the FIRST book ever to be dedicated solely to the works of a single comic book artist: Jack 'King' Kirby! Tons of rare color & b&w works including unpublished sketches done for family, and wartime imagery from when he was a private in the European Theatre of WWII. Covers his entire career from the Eisner-Iger workshop of the late 30s to the last comic stories/characters done for Topps in the 90s. And all the amazing stuff in-between: Captain America, Crime comics, Romance comics, the Marvel Silver Age explosion with Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer, and Thor, the New Gods of the 70s, and more!

Also includes several appendixes with full checklists of his work, and timelines.

It was comforting to his fans, and edifying to Jack, that this was published within his lifetime and done with his full co-operation [He died one year later at age 78]. A KEY KIRBY ITEM!
