Lovely sterling silver vesta case, fully hallmarked for 1910. This is is a lovely silver vesta case made in 1910 by William Henry Sparrow. The vesta is superbly decoration with chased swirling leaves and Art Nouveau flowers on their curling stems to the corners. The front of the vesta has a round cartouche with '21st from EVA'. The vesta case is rectangular in shape with curved sides and has a suspension ring to the one side and a striker surface to the bottom edge. The case is 1-3/8 inches / 34 mm wide and 2 inches / 50 mm high. It weighs 30 grams. The case bears clear hallmarks - lion passant, anchor for Birmingham, letter l for 1910 and maker's mark WHS for William Henry Sparrow. The vesta is in good condition and the hinge is in good order with the cover opening and closing tightly. I accept payment via Paypal as well as personal cheques in Pounds Sterling drawn on a UK bank. For international customers, by arrangement payment may also be done via bank wire transfer. I will post worldwide and I aim to despatch items within 3 days f rom receipt of payment. Shipments within UK are via Royal Mail Special Delivery next day service. Overseas shipments are via Royal Mail International signed for service. If you require shipment via courier service (eg TNT/UPS etc), this can be arranged at additional cost by mutual agreement.
