Circa 1900 Bernard Bloch Figural

*** Exquisite Jugendstil Maiden European Art Pottery ***

This is an exquisite example of signed Bernard Bloch Art Pottery which dates back to the late 1800's or early 1900's. The young maiden is wearing a sheer, flowing dress and she is leaning over water with a bowl in her hand. The colors are subtle shades of blue, mauve and beige and it is finished with a mellow matte glaze typical of Bernard Bloch pieces.

It is a substantial piece of art pottery measuring 9 1/2" wide, 8 1/2" tall and 10" deep. It is impressed on the bottom with the Bernard Bloch "BB" hallmark, a circle with a dot in the middle, and "6231" casting number. It is signed Schwarz and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs; however, it does have crazing as is typical of such pieces. As you can see from the photos it has crisp detail and beautiful organic artistry with an incredible three dimensional quality. It is absolutely stunning and displays beautifully!

Buyer pays $22.45 shipping, handling and insurance (continental United States) USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation. This piece will be packed with great care to assure safe arrival. Thank you for viewing my auction and good luck bidding!
