This cast iron base has a female face on both sides of each upright.The original bronze finish was painted over at some point with black...this is partly worn away now....the red and green highlights were probably original..this style was typical of the very early 20th century. All of the iron is in great shape...no cracks, chips or repairs...the seat is very old and tattered...we don't know if the covering is original but t are old rough sawn boards visible from the underside.
