This in the style of Erte', t is no signature or marking that can be seen with the naked eye or loop, it is exceptional in its elegance and appeal. Bronze? or some other finer metal, the surface is patined in way that suggests painted bronze, the lotus leaves upon which she stands still retain some of the paint that might once have adorned her. She was given to the present owner as a gift from his 90 year old great aunt when he was only seventeen, the story is that she caught him sitting in the entrance of her home on a chair starring with misted eyes at the elegance of the woman, when she approached he said, " "Aunt Elba, she is the most wonderful looking woman in the whole world!" When she inquired how many naked women he had seen, he looked her straight in the eye and said, "Obviously not enough, because none of them look like this!" That having been said the vase became his 18th birthday present and sat proudly on his dresser these last fifty years. She is now looking for a new home, as his latest wife doesn't care for her!
