LOVELY ART NOUVEAU GOLD FILLED ENAMEL LAVALIER NECKLACE
ENGLISH OR AMERICAN, c. 1930s
PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO SCROLL DOWN AND READ MY NEW TERMS OF AGREEMENT UNDER THE "HOUSEKEEPING" SECTION OF THIS LISTING.
Description: A fabulous, luminescent lavaliere necklace from the Art Nouveau era, circa 1920 or 1930. This lovely, super feminine piece features a pendant with an asymmetric, organic floral shape in frosted gold fill. The piece has a bas relief fluted bale and a higher relief design on the pendant itself with six frosted GF tendarils emerging from a heartshaped opalescent enameled frame. T is a bale at the bottom as well, from which a small freshwater pearl probably hung when the piece was new. SO PRETTY!!! Hallmarked with nothing more than E.IRA R. & CO. on the back. Hangs from an older GF 16" chain with c-clasp. *Wow*.
Dimensions: Approx. 1.75" x 1". Weighs 4.8 grams.
Condition: Excellent, no problems save for missing pearl at bottom.
Housekeeping: If you have fewer than 10 positive feedbacks , please contact me before bidding, OK? I hate to do that, but it's due to an increasing number of deadbeat bidders with little eBay experience that making this rule seems necessary. If you have fewer than 10 feedbacks and place a bid without contacting me first, I'll cancel your bid.
I don't do returns unless I've really messed up the description of an item (i.e., I've said it's 14K gold when it's vermiel; it's antique when it was made yesterday; it's in perfect condition when it's got satins all over it; etc.) Buyer's remorse is not a good reason for a return/refund.
Insurance is always optional -- and absolutely necessary to receive a refund should something go awry with your shipment.
Yes, I will certainly combine shipping on items bought within a few days of one another -- just let me know this is your intention and I'll hold back on immediate shipment.
I accept PayPal and Money orders or cashier's checks, but not personal checks. I'm always listing lots of objects --ethnographic collectibles, jewelry, Native American books, and some antiques -- so please stay tuned and take a look at my other auctions if you see something you like. I do expect payment within seven days of the auction's end (otherwise, I relist). I ship Parcel Post, First Class or Priority Mail within the US (or Media Mail for books and magazines) + First Class Mail to Canada and other destinations. If you have any questions about an object, please feel free to email me. Thanks so much, and best of luck bidding!
