Hi everybody! Gungirly's auctions have changed just a little bit so please read the fine print. I'm starting the winter with a BANG & have LOTS of wonderful goodies to list! Offered for auction is a stunning, turn of the century, art nouveau 14kt gold, enameled, diamond, pearl, entwined snake pin / pendant. This is a signed piece ... on the front and back of the clasp. The piece is attributed to the Krementz Co. and it is a superb, artistic and beautiful piece of jewelry. Jewelry featuring snakes has been around hundreds of years .... from the ancient Egyptians to the prim Victorians. Prince Albert's engagement ring to Victoria featured entwined snakes and snakes became the rage. This special brooch was most likely given as a love token. It is in excellent vintage condition with no damage. No missing enamel. I rarely ever say mint, but this piece is in mint condition. It measures a little over 1 3/8" long including the bale and the pearl drop and measures a tiny bit over 1" across. The diamonds are sparkling and bright ... they are genuine diamonds.
