Pretty mini art nouveau jardiniere with lovely maidens on each side surrounded by flowers and leaves. Although I do not think this is from the original period, I do think it is a revival piece from the 60's or possibly earlier. Feels like brass and has lots of aged green patina expecially on the metal separate liner. Quite heavy and with no damage whatever. Pretty with flowers and a great piece to add to any art nouveau collection. Approximately 10" X 3 1/2" at the widest points. Lovely traditional whiplash handles.WINNING BIDDER PLEASE NOTE: I am not CLAIRVOYANT and thus cannot read your mind. My simple auction rules are basic to eBay: CONTACT MUST BE MADE WITHIN 3 DAYS. During the course of the auction, I have had an email from a knowledgeable eBayer who informs me his research suggests this piece does indeed date to early 1900 and most likely 1910. He also suggests it may have been a pipe holder.
