This lovely Testolini porcelain plate dates c1900-1920 It is cobalt blue in colour overlaid in gold with a lace design known as Merletto, it is a raised design & may be that a piece of lace has been applied and overlaid in gold Excellent condition for its age, there appears to be some tarnishing of the gold in places not sure if this can be removed hand signed in gold on the back Testolini Venezia Measures 21cm diameter. I do have other plates with similar lace designs Check out my other items ! The Testolini company was a retailer of italian lace at the end of the 19thc. it expanded into glass when it bought the famous Murano factory. Ten years later it merged with Pauly & co.
