This listing is for a 2 piece antique art glass lamp that measures 13 1/4" tall. The 4 metal arms are art nouveau in style with the raised stylized leaves supporting the shade. T is some oxidation on metal. The domed shade measures 5" tall and 6 1/2" across the opening. T is a tiny nick on the underside of the rim which cannot be seen unless you remove the shade turn upside down and inspect. The inside base has a flat shallow chip on the top inner rim (picture 8) that cannot be seen unless you remove the metal arms and peer inside. T are some breaks in the irridescent threading on both pieces, and t, approx. 4" total on bottom and 3" total on top and at some of these area minute indents in the glass w the threading ran along (and some tiny flat nicks in the glass w threading was broken (but you have to be up close inspecting to barely see these). The breaks in the threading are mostly hard to see as they blend in with the threading that ends abruptly as made. Directly under the metal rim is a small shallow firing line or hairline that does does not go through to the inside (pictured 8). Please click on to "larger picture" for supersized views. T is a difference in the 2 pieces - the green color lines match perfectly but the backgrounds and color of threading are slightly different. I purchased from an elderly gentleman that told me it had belonged to his grandmother and to his memory the shade had never been replaced. The base has a lighter creamy background and darker gold irridescent hanging hearts with matching irridescent random threading. The shade has a faint creamy green irridescent background with lighter gold irridescent hearts and random threading. The shade fits perfectly and the 2 pieces compliment eachother. The inside of the base is gold and the inside of shade is lemon colored with polished pontil. The lamp works great but the cord (the part hidden within the inside of lamp base) is taped, has some splits in the wiring and sholud be re-wired. SOLD AS IS. Even with its slight flaws, its rich irridescent colors are beautiful on or off - really gorgeous when lamp is on. I am not an expert on old lamps but this is gauranteed old - most likely Durand.
