Circa Estimated 1800s.
This is a REMARKABLE antique brooch! This is a detailed, all GLASS painting, hand painted on copper, that is set in a Japanese or Oriental fan-shape mounting. The 'frame' of this glass portrait tested as 10K yellow gold! I have never seen anything like this before, and you will probably never see anything like this again! Details of the girl that are raised in the glass, are her porcelain white fingers, cheek, and strands of her hair. The camera did not really show this. And is it was almost impossible to capture the parasol that she is holding, but you may see the fine lines of this umbrella in the background of one photo! The background is black, and dust particles or light reflections show-up on this in the photos. These are Not damages. T are only 2 pin-point specs to the glass and this is not seen. What you see in the close-up photos is dust or reflections on the black surface! T are NO chips or cracks to this miniature glass painting! This is in EXCELLENT CONDITION! Note that the gold 'handle' of this fan-shape brooch is engraved or carved in design, too!
