*** Offered is the BRAND NEW MINT model of the SOU RR - Southern Railway - later merged into Norfolk - Southern - 40 foot Double Door box car with that stanmdard railroad box car brown paint scheme and large white herald ! Attractive ! It has a Realistic Road Number. Unpacked for the First Time for these Photos. This is brand new, never run, and comes with the improved see-through roofwalk. The door latches on each side actually function, and the doors open easily. Since the Box Car was the primary mode of hauling RR freight back when, solid blocks of these cars would arrive via many eastern railroads for delivery to the many industries and distribution centers that we used to have in the Northeast. An Aristo Box and the original foam inserts are Included, a nd it comes in the original shipping box as it arrived from Aristo-Craft to me, along with instruction sheets and a package of hook and loop couplers. The Aristo American Railway Style knuckle couplers are factory attached and the hook and loop coupler set is easily attached. All detail parts are factory attached and intact, the car is in MINT NEW condition, there are even plastic protectors for the end pieces.
