Up for auction is a wonderful Artemide of Milano Tantalo Table clock! I fell in love with it, little did I know the history of the clock. As I researched I found that it was made by Richard Sapper in 1971 at the time he was a young designer but became a legend for his work. They made the clocks from surplus torpedo timers and Sapper designed them after the airplanes pilot's clock. This clock was made in Italy as stated on the clock and in the materials that i've researched. It's made of metal (pretty heavy for a smaller clock) the finish is lacquered and bright orange. The Dimensions of the clock are 8x5x15 (H)cm. It has the number 623 (maybe the number made) stamped on the inside behind the face. The clock displays bold numerals with a sleek casing. Mostly hollow on the inside. The original instructions for changing the battery are included. As far as condition i'm going to say it's in good shape. T is some chipping (as shown in photos 5,6,7,8) I took the photos under a magnifying glass so they look worse than they really are. I noticed that the top right side (as it rounds over) has a slight curve to it. T is some wear on the bottom as shown in photo #10. This clock is older and is being sold as is. The clock runs and keeps time. *******I reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time******* All of my brand name items read more
