The tennis great not only excelled on the court but also as a voice for social causes. These items from the Ashe Collection reveal a man who recognized his influence on both fronts and his intellectual curiosity. Includes his name & address book (blank) embossed "Arthur R. Ashe Jr." on the cherry brown cover, 3 x 18" gold laminted office plaque engraved in the same fashion, and a stamp (and case) for his books that reads: "ARA-Library of Arthur R. Ashe, Jr." All items VG-EX to MT with a part of the book damaged by an attached piece near the spine being removed.
