Five images of this book are shown below. It is: A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens, Published by Lippincott, no date, circa 1935. This book measures 8" x 5 1/2" and is 147 pages. It is in Good-Very Good condition with some overall soiling, handling and wear and with a 1935 gift inscription on a 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of paper laid in. There are four, full-page, color illustrations in Fine condition by Arthur Rackham, who also has done eighteen, black-and-white illustrations and decorations of varying size. The color illustrations are printed on glossy paper; they are blank on the reverse. The dust jacket is not price-clipped (price: "$1.00") and is in Gaylord protective mylar. It is in Good condition only with a dampstain at the top of the spine and panels, with the top 3/4" of the spine absent, and with additional soiling and wear. Images #3 and #4 below are the front and spine of the book; image #5 is the front of the jacket. The color decoration on the front of the jacket appears in the book in black-and-white. In short, this is a generously-illustrated, 77-year-old book and dust jacket that do show their age.
