Item: C A ARTHUR SIGNED LETTER US PRESIDENTIAL HISTORICAL DOCUMENT 1880 FRAMED Size/Length: 6 X 9.5 inches Condition: Fine estate condition. Creasing evident where it was folded in fourths. There is a split in the crease at the top. Some very minor staining is evident. See photos for full details. Description: This is a signed letter from former president C.A. Arthur. The letter is dated November 16, 1880. While the handwriting is hard to read, it appears to be thanking Francis Silvester for his congratulations, most likely on becoming elected president, as this was written the November before he was sworn in.
