This delicate and beautiful Arthur Stone ladle measures 5 3/4" in length. The piercing & chasing at exquisite as always.It is dated 1912, and has the initials AC engraved on the back, and has the signature Stone "rat tail" finish on the tapered end.The mark indicates that this piece is by Charles Brown who worked at Stone's from 1912 to 1937, making this one of his first pieces. The Society of Arts & Crafts recognized him as a Metalist, which was the highest stature a silversmith could reach.
