Magnificent Arthur Szyk Silver Illustrated Passover Haggadah, Judaica A magnificent Arthur Szyk (1894-1951) silvered metal illustrated Passover Haggadah, Judaica. The silvered metal binding is decorated with reliefs of the 12 tribe symbols around the rims, inscribed in Hebrew "Va'Yotsienu Adonay Mi'Mitsraim" and "Me'Avdut Le'Cherut" (From slavery to freedom). In the center is a gilt Decalogue (ten commandments) and a gilt crown, both made in delicate filigree work and granulations and set with 4 large carnelian stones. On the reverse can be seen a relief of the seven light Menorah inscribed in Hebrew "Israel", the same 12 tribes symbols and the same inscriptions as are on the front. It is illustrated and executed in English and in Hebrew by the famous American artist Arthur Szyk, edited by Cecil Roth. The Szyk illustrations are reproductions of originals of Arthur Szyk of New-Canaan, Connecticut, U.S.A Published by "Massadah" and "Alumoth". Comes in the original carton box.
