PRESENTING: Arthur Wood/Royal Bradwell LUSTRE PINK SHELL JUG Pourer Clam Vase SYLVAN 3593P GENERAL DESCRIPTION: I find myself perpetually drawn toward lustre ware. I have a real soft spot for it. It is kitsch beyond belief but I just love it! Genuinely, as well, not in a daft ironic way. This is my favourite bit so far. Stunning design from Arthur Wood/Royal Bradwell in the Sylvan style. This one number 3593P. The pink is a cooked lobster sort of pink, decorated with gold gilding and hand painted floral motifs. I really like the way the handle becomes part of the clam shell design as it moves up the jug. As well as being used as a jug, the style of it lends itself to being a vase, as well. As you can see from the photos, it is in very good condition. I can find no chips, cracks or signs of repair just a couple of places, mostly around the extremities, with some wear. MEASUREMENTS: Approx 21cm tall. Make us an offer!
