You can see this brooch published on page 80 of Harrice Simons Miller's "Costume Jewelry", the Confidant Collector series. Jacques LIpchitz was born in 1891 and died in 1973 - he has been called "the first Cubist sculptor" and his works are in many major museums. He designed pieces of costume jewelry in the 1960's and 70's to be given to purchasers of Israel Bonds. It is gold plated , has pin and clasp plus pendant loop,and measures 2 3/4" x 2 1/2". Signed "Lipchitz" on the back. Very good condition.
