UP FOR BID IS A GORGEOUS PAIRPOINT GLASS LARGE SPOONER VASE, HAND-SIGNED BY THE ARTIST. IT STANDS 7" TALL AND MEASURES 5.5" IN DIAMETER ACROSS THE TOP. THE PIECE IS DECORATED WITH CUT FLOWERS, LEAVES, AND DESIGN AND HAS A LOVELY DETAILED STEM AND FOOT. THE ETCHED SIGNATURE UNDERNEATH SAYS "DANA MORRIS PAIRPOINT." THE PIECE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NO CHIPS OR NICKS. T ARE A COUPLE OF TINY BUBBLES IN THE GLASS THAT WERE INNT IN MANUFACTURE. DANA MORRIS WORKED FOR PAIRPOINT IN SAGAMORE IN THE 1980'S. HE LEFT THE COMPANY AFTER THREE OR FOUR YEARS, SO HIS PIECES ARE VERY RARE. YOU CAN READ ABOUT HIS GLASS-BLOWING TECHNIQUE AT WWW (DOT) DANAMORRIS (DOT) NET. I ALSO RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM DANA MORRIS: I just saw you had this piece up for auction. I engraved this, and was with Pairpoint for four years. I've heard the company has changed hands since, but know that the tools I used to create this vase were gone very quickly after I left. The tools were very rare, I actually had to have some of the engraving stones custom made in Scotland, because they were not available anywGood luck!
