Up for auction is this Extraordinary Original old Aritst signed Roseville Carnelian 2 Art pottery vase. The vase stands 7 1/4 in. high by 7 1/4 in. at the widest point. The condition is fine t are no chips, cracks or repairs to this vase just minor crazing in the glaze. The piece is Artist signed on the base "R" with the number nineteen in front of the artist signature ( if you need a close up pic feel free to email me). The carnelian two line was made from 1915 to 1931, and most were not signed by the artist. This is a very hefty and high quality piece of Roseville pottery with a very unusual thick streaked intermingled matte and gloss glaze. The Glaze is a blend of mauve and light turquoise blue with spots of pale yellow throughtout the entire piece. T is a orange number marking on the base as well which reads 331. The signature on the piece was definitly fired on and is guaranteed to be be authentic and not added on later. I would consider this a very rare and unusual old piece of american art pottery. The pictures due not do the piece justice and the glaze and over all feel stand out tremendously when viewing it in person. The piece was purchased out of a estate in upstate New York and is fresh to the market. This very unique and rare artist signed and numbered roseville art pottery vase that would be a focal point in any collection.
