Arts and Crafts Boudoir Lamp - Handel Base

This is a wonderful little boudoir lamp with an early Handel bronze base of simple design. The shade, perhaps by Phoenix or Pittsburgh, seems original to the base and was in the same home for over 30 years. Apparently Handel sold some of their bases to other companies in the early years. The shade is a "chipped ice" type finish, a crisply done band of roses in deep mauve on yellow to orange ground, reverse painted. It is in excellent condition, no chips, cracks or flakes on the shade. The base is also in excellent condition with original wiring which is frayed cloth covered and although it lights up beautifully, it needs to be rewired. The switch with an acorn pull is working well. The shade has a cap and finial - also the original. A very lovely little lamp which would enhance any arts and crafts era home. All items are guaranteed to be as described.
