This large mission style wall mirror measures about 30" wide by 15.5" high. I used a combination of "Colonial Maple" and "English Chestnut" for the stain and I'm really happy with the depth and richness that it gave me. The square walnut pegs and flecking really pop out nicely. If you look at the unstained photo you can see that I use mortise and tenon construction. I use a unique piece of equipment that can make a "double tenon". Wow, deadly accurate to the thousandth of an inch, literally. Other methods just don't compare. I know, I've used the other methods. Mortise and tenon construction was used at the turn of the century and is still used today by the best artisians that are out t It is a rock solid glue joint that I'm proud of and it will not fail. This arts and crafts mirror can be hung vertically as well!! The larger versions ad a nice touch of warmth and serenity to your fireplace mantle!
