Heres a gorgeous antique Arts/Crafts Mission Oak era piece. This is versatile and can be used as a curio, bookcase, hutch, etc. Made by the Grand Rapids Chair Co in Michigan and still retains its Brass nameplate in the door sill. This measures 43" wide x 15" deep x 57.5" tall. Notice the mirror as the back plate for the top shelf, also the unique Brass knob with push button latch that opens the entry door. This is a grand looking piece and will display beautifully. I will admit that there are some signs of wear such as the dark spots on the topside (which is too tall for most people to see anyways) which the circle spot does show some wood wear from a plant most likely. There is also general wear such as bumps, rubs, knicks, light scratches, scuffs, etc to be found here or there. It also would benefit from a good detailing/waxing in all the nooks and crannies too. I havent put any time into this, but it will clean up even better than it already looks. Its structurally sound and very sturdy, the glass is crack free, no repairs to the wood I can see, the original finish is still quite nice and has a great patina. No smoke odor or pet hair to worry about either. Ive started this auction out at a fair price but I feel its worth much more.
